FAQ

Do you shoot destination weddings?

YES - I love them, let's go! I have a traveller's heart and have experience shooting in Paris and Versailles. My French is mediocre at best but I promise we'll be ok! I also have a special interest in London and the Cotswolds region. Nothing is more inspiring to my creative soul than the beauty of the world around us and how that can be incorporated into a once in a lifetime experience of love and adventure. I would love to hear all about your destination wedding plans and how I can help bring your unique vision to life. Please get in touch for a customised quote.

Do you shoot elopements?

I sure do! Elopements are intimate, beautiful and refreshing. They allow us the opportunity to create artistic magic at locations that may not be accessible within a traditional wedding day timeline. Perhaps you might like to consider weekdays or off-season (Autumn is divine!) for elopements as Saturday's from Spring through until early Autumn require a minimum booking of 8 hours.

Will there be a second shooter?

For the majority of my shoots I am the sole photographer. All of the work on my website was shot by me without the assistance of a second shooter. Occasionally a lovely assistant will work alongside me to carry my equipment, hold lights, run errands etc so that I can focus on shooting. Second shooters can be added to any Wedding Collection by request, although it is rarely necessary.

Do you pose - what is your shooting style?

My approach to all of my sessions is twofold. I like to capture beautiful, organic moments as they happen. I also like to incorporate carefully crafted natural poses, along with gentle guidance (we all want to look our best right? - I've got you!) to create timeless and memorable photographs. The most important thing I can do is help you feel comfortable and at ease in my presence...this is where the magic happens and genuine connection shines through.
When working with children, I incorporate play, fun and more laughs than usual - I'm a Mum and I get it!

What is your editing style?

Making the most of my naturally light-filled photographs, my editing style is foremost, 'light and airy' - think fresh whites, crisp greens, pastels and beautiful, natural skin tones. No orange and yellow here! I shoot digital but my edits mimic dreamy film colours and tones. I use the power of Lightroom and Photoshop to bring every single one of your images to life and include skin retouching, cloning and more until each one is perfect. My classic and timeless style ensures that your photos will not date and that you will always be proud of them.

Do I have to order prints through you?

Your collection includes a print release that means you may print your photos privately. However, I have no control of the interpretation of your printer and the finished product. I can only guarantee perfection if they are printed professionally by my chosen lab. I encourage you, if you haven't already, to consider investing in albums and professional prints to display in your home. They are tactile, mesmerising and archival quality, crafted to last for many years to come. For your convenience, you have access to a personal print shop via your online viewing gallery where you can select and order a wide range of beautiful heirlooms.

How far in advance should I book?

Generally speaking, as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. I only book a certain number of sessions and weddings per year. Work, life balance is important to me and I want to ensure each of my clients gets the absolute best of me! Further, weddings are best booked 12 months in advance and portraits 1-3 months in advance during Spring, Summer and Autumn.
